Having had a c-section though I think I should probably at least deliver in a hospital even if I try a VBAC. THere is a midwife at Baylor Hosp. though and I plan to meet with her to talk about the whole VBAC thing before we try for #2. We knew each other in high school--and she was in her midwifery training even then. I remember one of the birth videos she showed me. . . years later I realized it was done by Veronica Wagner, my midwife for #2! Alisa went above and beyond when we were expecting #3. For a mom to be able to share her excitement, concerns and questions with someone who is “truly concerned” and very knowledgeable about what is best for each individual mom, dad, baby and the rest of the family does sound like a treat and a blessing to me. These weeks are flying by and peanut is going to be here before we know it!!!! She has been great. I have been fortunate enough to be around for most of the appointments, and I agree with Shannon that having a midwife has been a real blessing. The Korean "Kid's Day" Holiday also fell on the 5th. (Yay! No school for me!) And, with Cinco de Mayo on the same day as well, sounds like it is a popular day for celebrations. Haha, I'd like to see this shyness act the kids put on.
