She was the mother of a friend and a friend of my mother&#8217;s. It was not unexpected, but it is still hard for me to process right now. Maybe because I&#8217;m physically distanced from it. Maybe because I just haven&#8217;t had that much experience dealing with death. Maybe because I just simply cannot imagine life without my own mother. I hurt for those closer to her. I don&#8217;t have much else to say, but I didn&#8217;t want to ignore it.
