E’s Dance Performance

posted December 21st, 2007 by George

For E’s fall dance recital, the class performed to Christmas songs at a local assisted living center. Many of the residents really enjoyed the performance and visiting with the girls afterward.

Here she is (on the far right) tap dancing to “Go Tell it on the Mountain”.

Next she performs her ballet dance to “The Coventry Carrol”.

Note from Shan: Because of Thanksgiving travels, it had been 2 weeks since these girls practiced their dance together and we ran out of time to practice before the performance. Regardless, we’re still so proud of E. She had tons of fun, brought smiles to lots of faces, and her confidence is improving as well.

  1. Very cute. I remember dance recitals. I sure wish mine were at an assisted living center. Nope – mine were at McFarlin Auditorium at SMU where there were about 800-1000 seats (I have been there recently so this is not a childhood exageration). I remember being terrified.

  2. Emily, you look beautiful and you danced sooooo well. I am very proud of you. I am so glad your teacher thought of the idea for you girls to dance for the senior citizen at the Assisted Living Center. I know you must have brought such happiness and joy to each of the older people. What a very special gift you gave them! They often don’t get to see small children and they enjoy it so much! I am impressed that your teacher thought of the idea to let you bless someones heart with your dances and your music! She is a wise woman who I can tell loves Jesus very much!
