I’m back again

Wow, it’s been a while! A friend of mine has started blogging and that motivated me to get back to my blog. Except she was an English major and can write eloquent entries. I wasn’t and I can’t. Oh well.

To all those who were diligently following the life cycle of our caterpillars, all but 4 turned into butterflies within a week or two. The other 4 were placed outside and three of them finally turned into butterflies within the past month. That leaves us with one lonely chrysalis. We do have video clips of some of the big changes as they were happening that we hope to digitize and put them on the web one of these days.

Honestly, I found the transformation into a chrysallis more interesting than the transformation into the butterfly. When a butterfly emerges, the chrysallis skin cracks, the butterfly crawls out, his wings expand as they dry and then he flies away. It’s still amazing, but I guess the really amazing part is what happens behind the scenes, inside the chrysallis.

In other news, the past two months have been a difficult time for us. We are making it and God is holding our hands throughout the journey, but it has not exactly been a fun time for us. In the good news category, I get to help my youngest sister plan her wedding. She met the lucky guy in college and they are now both working in South Korea. She will be back in the states in December and the wedding will be in January. They will them go back to S. Korea for a little while longer. We are all very excited for them!

And that’s about all that I have for today. Besides to say that it rained today – yay!!
