July 24, 2006 – Part 2

A very sweet and special lady from my hometown died today. She was the mother of a friend and a friend of my mother’s. It was not unexpected, but it is still hard for me to process right now. Maybe because I’m physically distanced from it. Maybe because I just haven’t had that much experience dealing with death. Maybe because I just simply cannot imagine life without my own mother. I hurt for those closer to her. I don’t have much else to say, but I didn’t want to ignore it. It’s easy to blog about the fun things, but I think it’s important for me to blog about the tough things too.
